The purpose of this blog is to tell all about Quality of Life at Signature Health Systems. (Signature Health Systems comprises the nursing homes in rural areas operated by Signature HealthCARE, which is the nation’s 12th-largest nursing home chain.)
So, what is “Quality of Life” at Signature? It’s activities, sure, but it encompasses more than just that. We treat our Elders holistically, catering to the mind, body, and spirit, and we strive to provide “activities” that appeal to all of the above. It’s more than bingo and craft hour, in other words. Our Elders go skydiving, zip-lining, boating – earlier this year, we even took a group to Walt Disney World.
Which brings us back to this blog. This is where you’re going to hear about all of the fun stuff we do, along with future plans and ideas. In Quality of Life, we view our jobs as doing more than simply helping to pass the time in our buildings. For us, it’s a social mission to upend stereotypes about nursing homes by making our Elders’ dreams come true.
