Religious Leaders Join Signature HealthCARE in National Day of Prayer Celebration

National Day of Prayer Ceremony Recognizes Power of Faith

LOUISVILLE, Ky., May 3, 2017 — Signature HealthCARE believes in the power unity in times of uncertainty. Diverse religious leaders joined hands in celebrating their common sacred purpose on the National Day of Prayer on Thursday, May 4th.

“In a time of so much national turmoil, it’s important that we recognize the power of faith to bring us all together,” said Joe Steier, President and CEO of Signature HealthCARE. “The National Day of Prayer is a beloved annual tradition for our residents and stakeholders across the region. It’s never been more needed.”

Signature HealthCARE joined local religious leaders for this year’s National Day of Prayer celebration.

The National Day of Prayer celebration took place at the Signature HealthCARE corporate headquarters, 12201 Bluegrass Pkwy., at 10: 30 a.m. The spiritual service hosted religious leaders of nearly every major religion, including:

  • Jewish: Rabbi Gaylia Rooks
  • Hindu: Sunder Iyer
  • Native American: Jeremiah A.R. Cunningham
  • Buddhist: Rev Nanda
  • Christian: The Very Rev Joan Pritcher
  • Unitarian: Elwood Sturtevant
  • Quakers: Markham French
  • Muslim: Imam Muhammad Iqbal
  • Sikh: Dennis Stork
