Signature HealthCARE at Heritage Hall Officially Added to Eden Alternative Registry
Lawrenceburg, Ky., June 28, 2017 – Staff at Signature HealthCARE at Heritage Hall Rehab & Wellness Center have reason to celebrate this week. After several years, they achieved the industry milestone of being added to the Eden Alternative Registry.
Though slogans, such as patient centered care, clutter healthcare companies, person-directed care is an approach and mindset that everyone, from the nursing home administrator to each CNA, must adopt to achieve Eden-Alternative Certification. Person-directed care says that each person’s individual desires and needs are considered in their health care decisions.
“It is exciting to see Heritage Hall Rehab & Wellness Center be added to the Eden Alternative Registry. This milestone is the beginning of their commitment to person-directed care, which honors individual preferences and needs of each of our elders,” Angie McAllister, Director of Cultural Transformation at Signature HealthCARE said.
The road for Heritage Hall to officially be added to the Eden Alternative Registry was worth the wait. “Since starting this journey, I have seen a transformation throughout our home. From nurses to CNAs to our residents, I see the values of an elder-centered community lived out every day. We here at Heritage Hall strive every day to create an atmosphere of family. I am tremendously proud to have been a part of our journey here towards culture change and elder-centered care,” Justin Carwile, Administrator at Signature HealthCARE at Heritage Hall Rehab & Wellness Center, said.
The Eden Alternative Registry works to transform the well-being and daily life of elders who call nursing homes their home. Nursing homes on the Eden Alternative Registry experience less staff turnover, according to data from a survey of 2011-2016 members of the registry.
