Birthday Celebration Marks Milestone for Danville Centre Resident
Danville, Ky., June 14, 2017 – It is rare to find a person with memories of the hardships of the ‘30’s, the vibrancy of the 60’s and many changes in the 90’s. Ernest Blanchet is one of those rare people with memories of all of these decades. Ernest, along with the Danville Centre for Health and Rehabilitation, will mark his 104th birthday with a celebration on Friday, June 16th at 1:30 p.m. at 642 N. Third Street.
Though Ernest does not have any secrets of life to share, he attributes his long life to knowing that he lives in his own heaven on earth…Kentucky. He enjoys each moment living in his heaven on earth with his favorite hobbies of gardening and watching silent movies.
Ernest’s days have been relaxing since retiring from both the Army and Navy. In fact, he is the oldest living naval veteran in Kentucky. Regional 1st Sergeant Hawkinson, along with other representatives of the military, will be in attendance honoring Ernest’s service to our country. Members of the community will join celebrating Ernest’s 104th birthday on Friday, June 16 at 1:30 p.m. at the Danville Centre for Health & Rehabilitation.
