National Wear Red Day creates opportunity to educate residents, staff about women’s heart health
On Feb. 6, 2015, team members from Signature’s home office and several facilities participated in the American Heart Association’s National Wear Red Day, a movement to raise awareness about stroke and heart disease in women. Activities included presentations from medical experts, handing out educational materials and more.
Signature and KentuckyOne host grand opening for new hospital unit
Signature HealthCARE and KentuckyOne Health hosted a grand opening for a new skilled nursing and rehabilitation unit at KentuckyOne’s Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital, in Louisville, with the goal to ease patient transitions between care settings and foster seamless integration of care. The event was covered by local media and attended by several elected officials, city representatives and other special guests.
Provider Magazine features 5-star comeback at Gulfport Rehab
Provider Magazine published an article about Gulfport Rehabilitation Center, which was closed due to regulatory issues when it was acquired by Signature but went on to earn a 5-star rating from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the federal agency tasked with nursing home oversight.
100 year-old Memphis resident & WWII vet flies again
Jesse McDaniel, a 100 year-old WWII veteran and resident at Signature HealthCARE of Primacy, in Memphis, TN, was able to fulfill his dream of flying again with the help of the Memphis Navy Flying Club and many others.
