Let your light shine

And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. Genesis 1:4

I don’t know about you but I love a good story. In order for a story to be good it has to follow a specific blueprint. First, it needs to have a theme. Second it needs to have a plot.  Third, it needs to have a story structure. Fourth, it needs to have characters, fifth, it needs to have a setting and sixth it needs to have style and tone.  So what am I trying to say in this simple devotional this morning?

In our facilities we choose each day if our story is going to be good or bad. What theme do you convey in your facility? Next, what is your plot? Do the residents, family members and Stakeholders feel compassion, patience, and positivity when they are around you? Or do they feel something else.  Is your story structure centered on empowering and equipping others to be servant leaders? Who are the keys players in your story? What type of setting are you providing on a daily basis? Is it positive, negative or both. What about your style and tone. Is your style pleasant or unpleasant? What about your tone. Do you speak to others in a calm and respectful way?

Signature Revolution, what type of story do you want others to read. Let your light shine. Lastly, I leave you with this saying that I share with the residents during our daily bible study. It goes like this, if this was your last day on this earth how would you like others to remember you.

Prayer: Father in heaven thank you for another day of life. Help us to let our little light shine each and every day. Thank you for everything. Amen
