“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.” Matthew 7:7

I do so love the exquisite taste of my own medicine.

Not too long ago, I encouraged someone to experiment with calling on the Lord for help when he was in need. He said back to me, “You know I don’t believe in that stuff, but okay, I will try it. But just so you know, if it doesn’t work, I will throw the whole idea into the trash.”

“Okay, fair enough.” I said to him.

Then he asked me, “Hey, how is that book you are writing coming along?” He knew I had been attempting to write for about five years and he had been after me about it for some time now. Then he added this stinger, “What are you, lazy?”

My only response to him was the simple truth. “Well, I haven’t started yet.” I told him.

“Well, why don’t you ask the Lord for help?” was his quick response.

Touché, my friend, touché’!
