I Need Help
Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: Revelation 3:17
As a chaplain sometimes it’s hard to say we need help. As an executive it’s hard to say we need help. As a Stakeholder it’s hard to say we need help. Excuse me, let me rephrase this statement. I would suggest to you that we neglect to say we need help because for some of us acknowledging this would be perceived as a sign of weakness. For those of you that feel this way let me encourage you with this scripture, Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong. Amen. This scripture along with the one in Revelation 3 invite us to do two things: 1. Acknowledge the state we’re in as it pertains to our relationship with God, and 2. Recognize that God gives us his strength when we are weak. So Chaplain Army/Signature Revolution, if you need help, Just Ask?
Prayer: Father, thank you for giving us the help we need in times of adversity. Amen
