A Small Still Voice

1 Kings 19

And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the LORD. And, behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the LORD; but the LORD was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the LORD was not in the earthquake. And after the earthquake a fire; but the LORD was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.

A still small voice.

In the mist of our very busy day with duties to be done, we become so involved, racing around doing “God’s work, “ that many times we miss what God is trying to say to us. We need to be able to discern the way God is moving. To say who He would have us to contact or comfort or pray with.  We cannot discern these things on our own, but only
by hearing the voice of God. This is the ONLY way we can truly be followers of
God.
Remember, it only takes one word from God to change ANY situation. We can be His messenger to those who are lonely, hurting and in deep need of encouragement, love, hope and purpose.

Prayer: Dear Lord, help us to slow down in our busy day-to-day lives so we can hear Your still small voice and then be the messengers of love, hope and compassion to others we come in contact with. Thank You. Amen.
