Psalm 40; Psalm 1-5
I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD. Blessed is that man
that maketh the LORD his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies. Many, O LORD my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered.
It is a wonderful thing to know that you can turn to God for all things. God is waiting
so many times for us just to settle down in order for Him to move in and take control of the trials and tribulations that face us in life. He is always hearing us. He knows all the thoughts that go through our minds good or bad. He sees our trying times and wants us just to ask Him for His help. He wants to put a new song in our mouth so that we can sing praises unto Him. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Let us search out the wisdom and knowledge of God so that we can be productive in all that God has given to us.
Putting our trust in God can sometimes be challenging but when we start to exercise our faith in the small things in life we will learn that God can also take care of the larger areas. Let us look for the wonderful works of God.
O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.
Prayer by Keri Jewell: God slow us down so we can better listen for You and thank
you for taking care of everything in our lives, big and small. You are the “fixer”!
