“In His Shelter” by Chaplain Vernon Jewell

“For he will hide me in his shelter in the day of trouble; he will conceal me under the cover of his tent; he will lift me high upon a rock. And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies all around me, and I will offer in his tent sacrifices with shouts of joy; I will sing and make melody to the LORD.” Psalm 27:5,6

As we hear news broadcast and hear of trouble on every hand we can’t help but wonder what has happened to the people that God created. He created us to have love, compassion, and be willing to help each other as mankind. It does seem as though we live in a day of trouble. In God’s word we are told to look up because our redemption draws nigh. Here in Psalms it tells us that he will lift us high upon a rock and we shall be lifted above anything that may harm us. That is why today we can sing and make melody to the Lord and shout his praises because we know he is our shelter in time of storm. Praise be to God. Amen
